Chapter 29: Connections
This chapter describes the external connections of the PRO1.
For information on powering the PRO1 up/down, PRO1 system interconnections and
rear panel connections, see the PRO1 Quick Start Guide.
Rear panel connectors
PRO1 rear panel
To ensure the correct and reliable operation of the equipment, only high quality
balanced, screened, twisted pair audio cable should be used. The AES3 adapter cable is
to be 110 Ohms.
To fully comply with national legislation including (but not limited to) transposition of EC
EMC Directive 2004/108/EC by EU member states and FCC Part 15 for the United States
of America, only the supplied cable may be used with the AES3 outputs.
XLR connector shells should be of metal construction so that they provide a screen
when connected and, where appropriate, they should have Pin 1 connected to the cable
screen.
Mic/line input audio connector. Male XLR plug and female XLR chassis connector with
the following pinouts: 1. Ground 2. Hot 3. Cold
