5.4 DEDICATED TRANSMISSION PARAMETERS
There are two sets of transmission parameters: Fax and E-mail
Each Quick Dial Key and Speed Dial Code has eight bytes of programmable parameters allocated
to it. If transmissions to a particular machine often experience problems, store that terminal’s fax
number as a Quick Dial or Speed Dial, and adjust the parameters allocated to that number.
The programming procedure will be explained first. Then, the eight bytes will be described.
5.4.1 PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
1. Set the bit 0 of System Bit Switch 00 to 1 (01H).
2. Enter Address Book Management mode ([User Tools] > Address Book Management).
3. Select “New program” (To create the new address book) or “Change” (To change already
created address book).
4. Press the "Fax Dest.” or “Email”, and select "Fax Dest." for the fax parameter or select
"Email" for E-mail.
5. Press "Start" key. Make sure that the Start button lamp is blue. (If the system bit switch is not
changed, the button lamp is red.)
6. Select the switch you want to change by pressing “Next” and “Previous” button.
7. Press the “Bit No.” displayed below that you wish to change.
8. After the setting is changed, press "OK" displayed upper above of the panel.
9. Reset bit 0 of System Bit Switch 00 to 0 (00H).
