6.3.7 Balancing of rotors in asynchronous version
Balancing the asynchronous rotor
In accordance with the requirements for smooth running, the rotor core with the spindle shaft
must be implemented with the appropriate vibration severity level. Asynchronous rotors are
unbalanced as standard and offer no balancing planes integrated in the rotor core.
Verification of balancing is the responsibility of the spindle manufacturer.
We recommend that you balance the system "spindle shaft - rotor core without sleeve".
Precondition
You have mounted the appropriate balancing disks on the spindle shaft.
Procedure
Damage to the rotor core by drilled balancing holes
Drilling into the rotor core ② is not permitted.
When drilling the balancing disks, make sure that no chips of metal can foul the rotor core.
Use balancing disks to balance the system on balancing planes of the spindle axis that are
to be provided.

Recommendations for the mechanical dimensions of the balancing disks can be found in the
Configuration Manual.
