Antifrogen N acts like a biocide for a minimum concentration > 20%.
● Conduct a water analysis at least annually to determine the type and concentration of
microbes.
The following microbes can occur in practice:
– Bacteria that cause the formation of slime
– Corrosive bacteria
– Bacteria that cause deposits of iron
● Add a biocide that counters the determined microbes to the cooling water.
The manufacturer's recommendations must be followed in regard to the dosage and
compatibility with any inhibitor used.
4.2.8 Commissioning the cooling circuit
Commission the cooling circuit before performing the electrical commissioning.
Precondition
● You have flushed the cooling water pipes before connecting the motor and the converter
to the cooling circuit.
● The cooling water pipes are properly connected.
Procedure
● Open the cooling water feed.
● Check all of the connections of the cooling water circuit for leaks.
● Check whether the prescribed volume of coolant is guaranteed. Further information on
this can be found in Chapter "Connecting the cooling (Page 135)".
Maintenance and service for assembled motor spindles
Check at least once annually
● the filling level,
● for any discoloring and
● the cooling-water specification Information on this is provided in Chapter "Coolant
(Page 73)".
Note
Use cooling water only with the permitted specification.
In case of cooling water loss, refill with a previously prepared mixture of deionized water and
inhibitor or Antifrogen N.
