Switching from handset to speakerphone
mode
Prerequisite: You are conducting a call via the handset.
Procedure for country setting US (default):
: Press the key shown.
\ Replace the handset. Proceed with your call.
Procedure for all other country settings:
: and \ Hold down the key and replace the handset. Then release the key and proceed
with your call.
Switching from speakerphone mode to the
handset
Prerequisite: You are conducting a call in speakerphone mode.
^ Lift the handset. The É key is no longer lighting.
Open listening
You can let other people in the room join in on the call. Let the other party know
that you have turned on the loudspeaker.
Prerequisite: You are conducting a call via the handset.
Activating
: Press the key shown.
Deactivating
É Press the illuminated key.
Switching to speakerphone mode
: and \ Hold down the key and replace the handset. Then release the key and proceed
with your call.
Take note of the two different processes and activate your preferred mode
as appropriate
 page 140.

The microphone and loudspeaker functions are activated by your admin-
istrator.
