I. Tune in the desired frequency, and set the operating mode and bandwidth.

Press the [FUNC] key, as needed, to recall the Operating Function Row 2
[V>M,

RPT,
REV],
3. Press the [A](V>M) key momentarily to enter the "Memory Check" mode, which
is
used to find an unused memory channel. The frequency stored
(if
any) on the current
memory channel will be shown in the display.

Rotate the SELECT knob to select the channel on which you wish to store the current
frequency data.

Remember that the memories are partitioned into Memory Groups
of
50

channels each. Select a memory channel within the right Group
(e.g.
Chan-

nell-50,
51-100, 101-150, etc.)
if
you
intend to utilize
the
partitioning.
5.
Press and hold
in
the [A](V>M) key for
Vz
second until you hear a double beep, which
confirms that the frequency information was successfully stored.
