2.3 Start up the system
NOTICE
After a power interruption, wait two minutes before turning on power to the Main
Disconnect Control.
Do not restart the system with a USB device connected.
NOTE:
SmartID verifies the tube ID at start up. If the tube ID verification fails, attention
messages display indicating that the X-ray tube is not recognized. You can continue
scanning; however, you will need to contact your service representative. Hi Res mode
is disabled when a non-GE tube is installed.
2.3.1 Routine daily start up when the system was not shut down

From the image monitor, click .

Shut Down

Restart
.

3. From the restart dialog, click [Restart].
NOTE: It may take up to 30 minutes for the detector to reach an optimal thermal state
after a restart.
2.3.2 Routine daily start up from system shutdown
If the system is in shutdown state (the operator console is turned off and the moon icon on the
gantry display is lit), push the power on button on the scan control interface to start up the
system. The power on button will flash for a few seconds indicating that the system has
received the command.
