7.5 Removing a Drive
Remove a drive before replacing it with a new one.
You do not need to power o the server when removing a drive. If services are
running on the RH2288H V3, back up the data stored on the drive.
Before removing a drive, determine its location to prevent misoperations.
Otherwise, the RAID array will fail.
NO TE
If a drive is frequently removed and installed at an interval of shorter than 30 seconds,
there are risks that the drive cannot be detected.
Table 7-1 shows the mapping between the silkscreens of the drives and slot IDs in
the System Event Log (SEL).
