Light Guided Diagnostics
Both server boards have several onboard diagnostic LEDs to assist in troubleshooting board-
level issues. This section provides a description of the location and function of each LED on the
server boards.
8.1 5-volt Stand-by LED
Several server management features of these server boards require a 5-V stand-by voltage
supplied from the power supply. The features and components that require this voltage must be
present when the system is “power-down” include the Integrated BMC, onboard NICs, and
optional Intel
®
RMM3 installed in the Intel
®
RMM3 slot.
The LED is located near the Intel
®
SAS Entry RAID Module AXX4SASMOD slot in the lower-left
corner of the server boards and is labeled “5VSB_LED”. It is illuminated when AC power is
applied to the platform and 5-V stand-by voltage is supplied to the server board by the power
supply.
