ope
The service life of a rope can be significantly affected by the insertion
procedure. Errors can significantly reduce the service life, therefore:
– Make sure the rope is not twisted when it is inserted.
– Avoid soiling and damage when fitting.
– Wind the rope up in the same direction in which the rope is reeled on
to
the reel.
–
Tense the rope slightly while winding it up.
• Place the reel stand (1) with the new rope
in front of the main boom head.
The distance (X) between the reel stand (1)
and the head sheave (2) must be at least
30 m so that the rope runs over the head
sheave as straight as possible.
Ensure that the rope is being rolled on to the
drum with the right slewing direction.
• Guide the rope over the head sheave (2) and
under the bracket (3) up to the hoist drum.
