Brake Disc
Inspection
Visually check the brake disc for wear or break.
Measure the thickness of the disc at several
places. Replace the disc if it has exceeded the
service limit.
Allowable limit: 2.0 mm
Remove the brake disc from wheel.
Check the disc for deformation and bend.
Allowable limit: 0.30 mm
Caution
● Do not let grease touch to the brake disc that
will cause brake performance.
● Do not clean the brake lining with air gun
because the lining is contained asbestos.
Operator should wear mask & glove and use
vacuum cleaner to clean the brake lining.
Brake Master Cylinder
Removal
Caution
z Do not let foreign materials enter into the
cylinder.
Caution
z The whole set of master cylinder, piston,
spring, diaphragm and cir clip should be
replaced after removal.
Remove the front and rear handlebar guards.
Remove the leads of brake light switch.
Drain out the brake fluid.
Remove the brake lever from the brake master
cylinder.
Remove the brake hose.
Remove the master cylinder seat and the master
cylinder.
Remove the rubber pad.
Remove the cir clip.
Remove the piston and the spring.
Clean the master cylinder with recommended
brake fluid.
