Removal
Caution
● Brake linings must be replaced as a set.
Remove brake shoes from the brake panel by
pulling out the brake linings.
Installation
Apply a thin coat of grease to the brake cam and
the anchor pin.
Hook the brake spring onto the brake cam.
Pull out the brake linings and install them onto the
brake panel.
Wipe off the excessive grease from the brake cam
and the anchor pin after installation.
Slightly grind the brake lining surfaces with
sand-paper to clean the surfaces.
Caution
● Braking efficiency will be reduced if brake
lining is contaminated by oil or grease.
Brake Panel
Front Brake Panel Removal
Remove the brake arm nut, bolt and then remove
the brake arm, wear indicator, brake return spring
and brake cam as well as the oil seal from the
brake panel.
Rear Brake Panel Removal
Remove the brake arm bolt and then remove the
brake arm, brake return spring and brake cam as
well as the oil seal from the brake panel.
