Description
This softkey activates the pulse mo dulation mo de for an external
pulse source. The pulse source is connected to the PULSE INPUT
BNC connector and fed to the pulse mo dulator through a buer
circuit.
When pulse mo dulation is in eect, the RF output is turned on
(programmed p ower is pro duced) and o (
>
80 dB attenuation) at a
rate determined by the pulse mo dulation input. Pulse and amplitude
mo dulation can b e in eect simultaneously. An asterisk next to the
key lab el indicates that this feature is active.

Description
This softkey activates pulse mo dulation mo de using the internal pulse
generator. No external connection is needed. When internal pulse
mo dulation is selected, the PULSE INPUT BNC becomes an output
for the internally generated signal. An asterisk next to the softkey
lab el indicates that this feature is active. The pulse parameters
(width, p erio d, rate, rise time, etc.) are con
