Fit the counter-lock ring, hand tighten-
ing only.
•
To allow the tabs to be bent into the
notches of the counter-lock ring in or-
der to lock the ring, the counter-lock
ring may be tightened further by up to
35° or loosened by up to 10°.
•
When tightening the counter-lock ring,
hold the lock ring still with an appropri-
ate hook spanner.
•
Lock the counter-lock ring by bending
the tabs of the retainer washer into the
notches in the counter-lock ring itself.
•
Reconnect the steering damper.
•
Fit the upper fork plate.
Disassembling
•
Remove the steering assembly com-
pletely.
•
Unscrew and remove the lower dowel
fastening the collar.
•
Remove the lower collar.
