2.1 Installation requirements
Environmental conditions
The table below summarizes the physical environm ent in whic h the D P2K SLP-series projector may be safely operated or stored.

Let the projector acclimatize after unpacking. Neglecting this may result in a startup failure of the L ight P ro-
cessor Un it.
Use in high altitude conditions
When 3000 m environmental condition is combined with the highest permissible temperature (35°C am bient), the projector m ay be
expected to go into warning status. Hence, for high altitude conditions, we advise max 30°C am bient condition (25°C is preferred).
Furthermore, to avoid temperature warnings on laser banks, we advise in high a ltitude to s et c ooler fans to 100%.
Main Power requirements
The DP2K SLP-series projector op erates from a nominal mono phase power net with a separate earth ground PE.

The power cord required to connect the projector with the power net is not delivered with the projector. It is the responsibility of the
customer to provide the correct type of pow er cord. The cross-sectional area of the conductors in the power supply cord shall not
be less than 2.5 mm

(12 AWG), minimum 300 V. Take into account that the cable gland allows a cable diameter from 8 to 13 mm.
To protect operating personnel, the N ational Electrical Manufacturers A ssociation (NEM A) rec omm ends that the instrument panel
and cabinet be grounded. In no event shall this projector be operated without an adequa te cabinet ground connection.
The AC supply must be installed by a qua lified e lectrician in co nformance to local codes. Hardware, wire sizes and conduit types
must comply with local codes.
A readily accessible disconnect device shall be incorporated externally to the equipm ent for rem oval of the power to the equipment
mains terminals.
WARNING: Disconnect the power to the unit mains terminals for removal of all power from the unit.
The DP2K SLP-series projector does not have a built in UPS unit.
Projector weight
Do not underestimate t he weight of the DP2
K SLP -series projector. The projector weight approximately 73 kg (161 lb.) without lens.
Ensure that the pedes tal on which the p rojector is installed is capable of supporting the c omplete load of the system. Minimum 4
adult persons are needed to carry the projector.
Barco offers a pedestal for the DP 2K SLP-series projector. This universal ped estal allows for a solid and
easy setup of the projector. The un iversal pedestal sup port 19” rack system s. (projector peripherals such as
alternative co ntent sw itchers, S how Vault, etc.)
