7.13 ICMP reset
This p rocedure requires that ICMP version 1 .2.4 or later is installed.
ICMP reset poss ibilities
• The Star button on the local keypad (Not for C- and B-series)
• The ICMP reset button in the GUI of the Com municator.
• The ICMP reset button in the GUI of the Com mander.
• The ICMP reset button in the GUI of t he Web C om mander.
• The ICMP hardware reset button located on the front panel of the ICM P (Not recommended, use only when all other re
set
possibilities are exhausted!)
How to reset the ICMP?
1. Click on the ICMP reset b utton in the GUI of the Web Commander
Or,
Click on the ICMP reset button in the GUI of the Commander
Note: It can be t hat the Com ma nder or WE B-C omm ander is not able to send the reset command.
Or,
click on the ICMP reset button in the GU I of the Communicator (recomm ended)
Or,
press the Star button on the local keypad for a few seconds (N ot for C- and B-series)
As a r esult the pr ojector is safely prepared for the ICMP reboot. All ongoing ev ents on the ICMP ( e.g. inges t) ar e requested to
end. After a few seconds the ICMP is reques ted to restart. The READY LE D on the front panel of the ICMP starts to blink orange.
In case the ICMP is installed in DP4K -L s eries projector the lasers are switched off and the projector remains in the sam e m ode
(e.g. Conditioned). The Star button on the local keypad starts blinking green. After the rese t o f t he ICMP the lasers ar e s witched
on again.
Once the REA DY LED lit continuous green the ICMP is up and running.
2. Did the reset o f the ICMP fail?
If yes, perform a hardware reset as follows:
a) switch off the lasers of the projector or switch of the projector lamp.
b) press the ICMP hardw are reset button a few seconds (reference 3 image 7-13) .
Warning: Resetting the ICMP with the hardware reset button m ay cause dam age to the content on the HDDs. A re-configu-
ration of the whole system may be required!
As a result the projector is safely prepared for the ICMP reboot. All ongoing events on t he ICMP (e.g. ingest) are stopped
immediately and the ICMP restarts.
