6.5 Alarm Test
6.5.1 Alarm Signal Test
When starting treatment, an automatic alarm signal test is performed. Check that the
test is performed successfully, this is indicated by:
• A short beep indicating functional audio signaling.
• The alarm LED first lights yellow, then red, indicating functional visual signaling.
• The audio pause LED lights yellow.
• In about a second, both LEDs are turned off.
If the test fails, do not use the Vivo 45. Contact your supplier of the Vivo 45 for a tech-
nical check.
6.5.2 Mandatory Alarm Tests
This alarm test should be performed when changing patient, if the ventilator’s function
needs to be checked for any other reason, or at least every 12 months.
The alarm test should be included in the regular inspections during maintenance.
To perform the alarm test, follow the instructions below:

1 Connect the ventilator patient circuit to a test lung.
2 Connect the ventilator to Mains power supply.
3 Start the ventilator.
4 Adjust the settings as follows:
