J.7 Maintenance/Service
To temporarily disarm the dispenser to perform maintenance, without tripping the alarm, perform the
appropriate following procedure. Once you disarm the dispenser, you can also disable the security
feature by changing the Function 56.00 or 56.01 to a “0”. This is helpful if you need to be
opening/closing the doors. However, this will require acquiring a new One Shot password to re-
enable the feature once the service work is completed.
J.7.1 Maintenance with One-Shot Control
1. Make sure that the bezel is closed and in place.
2. Using the IR remote perform the following steps for each dispenser:
a. Enter “5” and press “Enter”. The display will show
Func.
b. Enter “56: and press “Enter”. The display will show
Sub.
c. Enter “00” and press “Enter”. The display will show
5600xxxxxxxx (The first four digits
are always the function and sub-function.)
d. Call DFS Support Center (1-800-926-3737) or use your smartphone or laptop device
to log in through the Wayne Portal (
https://portal.wayne.com) and provide the
“Challenge code.” You will receive a “Response code” (One Shot) that is required to
activate the security feature. Keep the DFS Support Center on the line for repeating
this step for each dispenser. Note: This step is required for the initial set-up for either
mode.
Note: If 2 minutes expire before completing steps d and e, the display returns to the
operation idle prompt. At this point, simply go back through the above steps and
use
the same response code. Note: Once the code is entered in step “e” below (which
gives access to Function 56), a new code from the DFS Support Center would be
required to re-access this function.
e. With the “Challenge code” still showing on the display, press Enter on the IR remote.
The display shows
Pass 1. Enter the “Response code” numbers and then press
Enter. The display shows
Pass 2. Enter the “Response code.”
f. Exit the configuration mode by pressing “Enter” on the remote three times.
3. Within one minute of entering the code, open the bezel. Leave the bezel open until the
service work is complete. When the service work is complete, close the bezel. In one minute
the security feature will turn on. This can be verified by pressing the Enter key on the remote
hand-held (after one minute has elapsed). The display will show
Secure On.
J.7.2 Maintenance with Localized Control
1. Make sure that the bezel is closed and in place.
2. Using the IR remote perform the following steps for each dispenser:
a. Point the hand-held remote device towards the main dispenser display and press
“Enter”.
b. At
Pass 1 on the display, key in the Local or Maintenance Mode password.
c. At
Pass 2 repeat entering the password.
d. Press the “Enter” key 3 times to return to the idle state.
3. Within one minute of entering the code, open the bezel. Leave the bezel open until the
service work is complete. When the service work is complete, close the bezel. In one minute
the security feature will turn on. This can be verified by pressing the Enter key on the remote
hand-held (after one minute has elapsed). The display will show
Secure On.
