J.8 Testing the Switches
The security switches can be tested to verify the hardware is working properly. Before testing the
switches, temporarily disarm the dispenser as described in the previous “Maintenance/Service”
section. Once the security is disarmed, perform the following procedure to test the switches:
1. Using the IR remote to access the configuration/diagnostic mode.
a. Press the “Enter” key on the remote.
b. At
Pass 1 on the display, key in the Local or Maintenance Mode password and press
“Enter”.
c. At
Pass 2 repeat entering the password and press “Enter”.
d. At
F – – enter “34” and press “Enter”.
e. At
F 34 press “Enter”. The display will show 34.01. Press “Enter” again. You are
now ready to test switches.
2. If the unit has two bezels, you should only test one at a time. When testing the bezel
switches. Be sure to test all switches. The status is shown in the PPU display.
Bezel open (either bezel can be open): “- - - -“ or “2b8”
Bezel closed (both bezels need to be closed): “1d1”
3. Press the “Clear” button three times to exit the diagnostic mode.
4. Press the “Enter” button three times to exit the configuration mode and return to the idle
state.
Be sure to re-enable the security feature once you finish testing the switches.
