Configuring Port Traffic Rate Limiting
Purpose
TolimittherateofinboundtrafficontheD‐Seriesdeviceonaperport/prioritybasis.The
allowablerangeforthe rate limitingis64ki lobytespersecondminimumuptothemaximum
transmissionrateallowableontheinterfacetype.
Ratelimitisconfiguredforagivenportandlist
ofpriorities.Thelistofprioritiescanincludeone,
some,oralloftheeight802.1pprioritylevels.Onceconfigured,therateofalltrafficenteringthe
portwiththeprioritiesconfiguredtothatportisnotallowedtoexceedtheprogrammedlimit.If
therateexceedstheprogrammedlimit,frames
aredroppeduntiltheratefallsbelowthelimit.
