4.3.1 NAV1 or COM1 (Numbers 1 & 4)
1. Check for GIA1 configuration, software, or failed data path error messages.
Correct any errors before proceeding.
2. Switch GIA1 and GIA2 to verify the location of the problem. If the problem follows
GIA1, replace GIA1.
3. Check the configuration settings for GIA1 and PFD1.
4. Check the Ethernet interconnect from GIA1 to PFD1 and unit connector pins for
faults. If the problem persists, replace PFD1.
