Blood Flow Imaging
Blood flow imaging (BFI) is a Color flow mode with added
speckle information for vascular use. The speckle information
visualizes the blood flow direction.
NOTE: When scanning in BFI triplex mode it is normal to have a time
delay between the Doppler display / Doppler audio and the BFI
color display.
BFI is available with linear and curved linear probes.
Using Blood Flow Imaging
1. While in Color flow, press BFI.
2. Adjust Flow speckle. Increased Flow speckle enhances
hemodynamics.
