Setting the VME Backplane Netw
orking Parameters
The b o ot-administration
bpn_config
command allows you to congure the
VME backplane networking parameters: the CPU n
umb er on the bac
kplane,
the backplane anchor address, and the bac
kplane anchor AM co de. To display
this information, typ e the following at the
BOOT_ADMIN>
prompt:
bpn_config
The CPU number, backplane anchor address, and AM code will be prin
ted as
in the example belo
w:
Current configuration:
CPU No. 0
Anchor 0x00200000
AM code 0x3d
The values given above are also the default values for these models of the Series
700i.
Tochange the VME conguration CPU numb er, Anchor, or AM co de, you will
need to change the p osition of the Service/Normal switch to \Service". (This
can be done without restarting the bo ot sequence or exiting the Bo ot Admin
mo de.) Then enter the numbers to b e changed after the
bpn_config
command,
in the following order:
1.
CPU number
2.
Anchor number
3.
AM code
To obtain help with this command, typ e
help bpn_config
