6.24 Centralized Monitor Unit
Overview
The centralized monitor unit is designed to monitor the working environment of an equipment
cabinet or room. It detects and controls the environmental parameters of the equipment
cabinet or room and reports results to the device management unit directly through the
monitorbus.
Figure 6-237 shows the appearance of the centralized monitor unit.

Features and Functions
The centralized monitor unit is optional and can be selected according to the actual
networking. It provides the following functions:
Detects the alarm signals of a smoke sensor in the equipment cabinet or room after the
smoke sensor is connected to the panel of the centralized monitor unit.
Detects the temperature of the equipment cabinet and reports the detecting results to the
device management unit after the temperature sensor is connected to the panel of the
centralized monitor unit.
Outputs device alarm signals.
Detects dry contract points.
Provides a 485 serial-interface cable for expanding interface devices and supporting full
duplex mode.
