Changing Engine Oil
A CAUTION
Before changing
the
engine
oil.
be sure
to
stop
the
engine.
1.
Place
the
machine
on
level
ground.
2.
Remove
the
drain
plug
(1)
at
the
bottom
of
the
engine, and
drain
the
used oil completely.
All
used
oil
can
be
drained
out
easily
while
the
engine still
warm.
3.
After
draining
the
oil, reinstall
the
drain
plug.
4.
Fill
with
new
oil
up
to
the
upper
level (a)
on
the
oil level
dipstick (3) .
IMPORTANT
Use
the
specified engine
oil.
Refer
to
"LUBRICANTS, FUEl AND
COOLING
WATER".

Changing Engine Oil Filter
Cartridge
A CAUTION
Before changing
the
engine
oil
filter
cartridge, be sure
to
stop
the
engine.
1.
Remove
the
engine
oil
filter
cartridge
(1).
2.
Apply
engine
oil
slightly
to
the
rubber
gasket
of
new
cartridge.
3.
Install
the
new
cartridge, screwing
it
in
by hand.
Over-tightening
may
cause
deformation
of
the
rubber
gasket.
4.
After
the
cartridge has been changed,
the
engine
oil
level
normally
lowers a
little.
Add
engi ne oil
to
proper level.
IMPORTANT
To
prevent
serious
damage
to
the
engine. replacement
oil
filter
cartridge
must
be
highly
efficient.
Use
only
a
genuine
KUBOTA
filter
cartridge
or
its
equivalent.
