(1) Oil Pressure Switch
(Reference)
If
you can prepare a variable
DC
power
supply
(output
voltage range: 10V - 20
V),
check
the
IC
regulator
as
follows.
Ie
Regulator
1.
Connect
the
discrete
IC
regulator
with
a variable
DC
power
supply, voltmeter, lamp, etc.,
as
shown
in
the
figure.

If
and "SW2" must be turned
off.)
2.
Setthe
variable
DC
power
supply
at
12
V.
3.
Turn on
"SW,".
Check
that
"l1"
(used
in
place
of
the
charge
lamp)
is
lit
up
brightly
and
that
"l2"
(used
in
place
of
the
rotor
coil) is also
lit
up.
4.
Then,
with
"SW,"
turned
on,
turn
on
"SW2".
Check
that
"ll"
is
turned
off,
but
that
"L2"
remains lit.
5.
With
both
"SW
"
and "SW2"
turned
on, step
up
the
voltage
of
the variable
1
De
power
supply gradually
from
12
V
and
check
that
lamp
"L2"
turns
off
when
the
voltage
reaches
the
level
of
14.5
± 0.3 V
at
25°C (77
OF)
while
lamp
"L,"
remains
off
.
IMPORTANT
Do
not
mistake
terminal
"16"
for
terminal
"L"
or
you
may
destroy
the
Ie
regulator.
If
terminals
"16"
and ilL"
of
the
Ie
regulator
touches each
other.
the
regulator
may
be
damaged.
Use
the
specified
connectors
for
wiring.
The
fin
does
not
serve
as
terminal
"E",
For connection
of
terminal
"E"
refer
to
the
note
in
the
figure
above.

Oil Pressure Indicator Lamp
1.
Disconnect
the
1 P connector
from
the
oil pressure switch.
2.
Turn
the
main switch key
to
the
"ON"
position, and connect
a jumper lead
from
the
connector
terminal
to
the
chassis.
3.
If
the
oil pressure
indicator
lamp
on
the
main
panel does
not
light,
the
bulb
or
wiring
harness
is
faulty.
Oil Pressure Switch
Continuity
1.
Disconnect
the
1 P connector
from
the
oi I pressu re switch.
2.
Using an
ohmmeter,
check
that
there
is
continuity
between
the
switch terminal and
chassis
when
the
engine
is stopped.
3.
If
there
is
no
continuity,
the
oil pressure
switch
is
faulty.
4.
Start
the
engine.
and check
that
there
is
no
continuity
between
the
switch terminal and
the
chassis.
5.
If
there
is
continuity,
the
oil pressure
switch
is
faulty
.
IMPORTANT
Before
performing
the
oil pressure
switch
continuity,
be
sure
to
check
that
the
engine
oil
pressure is
more
than
allowable
limit.
