DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING

Universal Joint and Covers
1. Pull out the clevis pin, and remove the universal joint (l)
from the pinion shaft,
2, Remove the left and right covers (2), (4),
3, Remove the center cover (3), [RC44-G17K·RC44-G17K-S·RC48-
G20K -RC48-G20K -S-RC54-G20K -RC60-G20
K)

Center Blade
1. Turn over the mower,
2, Unscrew the center blade mounting screw (4), and remove
the friction washer (3), two cup washers (2) and center blade
(1),

3. Unscrew the center blade mounting screw (8), and remove
the spline boss (7), two cup washers (6) and center blade (5),
(RC54-G20'RC54-G20C-RC54-G20K'RC60-G20'RC60-G20K]
• NOTE
• Wedge a block of wood between the center blade and
mower deck that it will hold the blade safely while loosing
or tightening the blade mounting screw.
(When reassembling)
• Be sure
to assemble two cup washers between the blade and
blade mounting screw,
• IMPORTANT
• Make sure the cup washer is not flattened out or worn.
causing blade to slip easily_
Replace
the cup washer if it is damaged.
