ENGINE

Carburetor
1.
Disconnectthe spring (1)
from
the
governor lever (4).
2.
Disconnectthe
wiring
(3)
ofthe
fuel cut
off
solenoid.
3.
Unscrew
the
air
cleaner flange
mounting
nuts, and remove
the
air
cleaner
flange
(6).
4.
Remove
the
carburetor
(2)
carefully
to
prevent
the
governor
joint
rod (5) and spring (1)
from
deforming.
5.
Remove
the
carburetor
flange.
6.
Remove
the
cover (7).

Carburetor
(6) Air Cleaner Flange
(3)
Wiring
(7)
(over
(4) Governor Lever
Manifold
and Cylinder Head Cover
1 Remove
the
governor
spring (3).
2.
Unscrew
the
inlet
manifold
mounting
screws,
and
remove
the
inlet
mani
fold
(2).
3.
Unscrew
the
cylinder head cover cap nuts, and remove
the
cylinder head cover
(1).
(When
reassembling)
Apply
engine
oil
to
the
cylinder head cover cap nuts before
reassembling.
Tightening
torque
Cylinder head cover
cap
nut

to
5.9 N'm

to

to

1.
Unscrew
the
rocker
arm
bracket
mounting
nuts
(1). and
remove
the
rocker arm assembly (2).
2.
Pull
out
the
push rods (3).
(When
reassembling)
When
putting
the
push rods
onto
the
tappets. check
to
see
if
their
ends are
properly
engaged
with
the
grooves.
Apply
engine
oil
to
the
rocker arm bracket
mounting
nuts
before
reassembling .
IMPORTANT
After
installing
the
rocker arm assembly, be sure
to
check
the
valve clearance.
Tightening
torque
