PTO
Switch Continuity
NOTE
Be
sure
to
measure
the
PTO
switch
resistance
after
adjusting
the
length between
the
PTO
switch
mounting
plate
and
tip
of
the
PTO
switch.
(See
page S.7-3)
1.
Remove
the
rear panel cover.
2.
Disconnect
two
1 P connectors
for
the
PTO
switch.
3.
Using an ohmmeter, measure
the
resistance
when
the
PTO
clutch lever
is
set
at
"ENGAGE" position.
4.
If
there
is
continuity,
the
PTO
switch
is
faulty.

Measure
the
resistance
when
the
PTO
dutch
lever
is
set
at
"DISENGAGE" position.
6.
If
there
is
no
continuity,
the
PTO
switch
is
faulty.

Seat
Switch
Seat Switch
Continuity
1.
Disconnect
two
1 P connectors
for
the
seat switch.
2.
Check
for
continuity
between
two
1 P
connectors
with
an
ohmmeter.
There should be
continuity
when
the
seat
switch
depressed
(seated), and
no
continuity
when
the
seat
switch
is
released
(standing).

Combination
Box [G1700.G1800·G1900]
Checking Combination Box
IMPORTANT
Before checking
the
combination
box, make sure
that
the
main
switch,
PTO
switch,
brake
switch
and
seat
switch
are
normal.
Check
the
following
items.
If
wrong,
replace
the
combination box.
(Glow
Lamp Control)
1.
Turn
the
main switch
to
"PREHEAr
position,
and
check
the
glow
lamp
lights
for
5 seconds.
2.
Turn
the
main
switch
to
"START" position
while
the
glow
lamp lights, and check
the
glow
lamp
turns
off.
(Starting Control)
1.
Set
the
PTO
clutch
lever
to
"DlSENGAGE"
position
and
depress
the
brake pedal,
then
check
that
the
engine
starts
when
the
main
switch
is
turned
to
"START"
position.
2.
Check
that
the
engine
does
not
start
under
the
other
conditions.
(Engine Stop Control)
1.
Set
the
PTO
dutch
lever
to
"DISENGAGE"
position.
Check
that
the
engine stop solenoid
works
when
the
main
switch is
turned
to
"OFF"
from
"ON"
position.
2.
Set
the
PTO
clutch lever
to
NENGAGE"
position
and
sit
on
the
seat. Check
that
the
solenoid works
when
the
main
switch
is
turned
to
"OFF"
from
"ON"
position.
3.
Set
the
PTO
clutch lever
to
"ENGAGE"
position
and
get
off
the seat. Turn
the
main switch
to
"OFF"
from
"ON"
position
several times, and check
the
solenoid does
not
work.
(The
solenoid may
work
at
first
time.)
