Solenoid Test
1.
Remove the engine stop solenoid from the engine.
2.
Connect jumper leads from
the
battery positive
terminal
to
the
1 P connector, and
from
the
battery negative terminal
to
the engine stop solenoid body.
3.
If
the plunger
is
not
attracted,
the
engine stop solenoid
is
faulty.

Solenoid Test
1.
Remove the fuel cut
off
solenoid from the carburetor.
2.
Connect jumper leads from the battery positive
terminal
to
the
1 P connector, and from
the
battery negative
terminal
to
the fuel cut
off
solenoid body.
3.
If
the
plunger
is
not
attracted,
the
fuel
cut
off
solenoid is
faulty.
Terminal Continuity
1.
Disconnect the leads. and remove
the
head
light
switch
from
the
main panel.
2.
Using an ohmmeter, check
for
continuity
across
the
terminals
of
the
head
light
switch.
There should be no
continuity
when
the
head
light
switch
is
set
at
"OFF" position, and
continuity
when
the
head
light
switch is set
at
"ON"
position.
Brake Switch Continuity
•
NOTE
•
Be
sure
to
measure
the
brake
switch
resistance
after
adjusting
the
length
between
the
brake
switch
mounting
plate and
tip
of
brake switch.
(See
page S.3-3)
1.
Disconnect
two
1 P connectors
from
the
brake switch.
2.
Using an ohmmeter. measure
the
resistance
while
pressing
the
brake pedal.
3.
If
there
is
no continuity,
the
brake switch is
faulty.
4. Measure the resistance
while
the
brake pedal is released.
5.
If
there
is
continuity,
the
brake switch
is
faulty.
