8.4.1.2 Tuning of the motor and the speed controller
The following describes in general how to opmise the speed controller. This may be required
if some parameters have on the load side of the drive system have changed or have not been
set yet, such as:
•
Motor moment of inera
•
Load moment of inera
•
Type of coupling between moment of inera of the motor and that of the load
Precondions
•
All rated motor data are known and set in the inverter, either by selecng the motor from
the motor catalogue or manually.
4Motor selecon from motor catalogue ^ 144
4Manual
seng of the motor data ^ 114
•
All further opons for opmisaon have been executed before if possible.
4Automac motor idencaon (energized) ^ 146
4Automac motor calibraon (non-energized) ^ 147
•
Opmisaon is possible online or oine (with or without connected motor).
Required steps
Adapt the following parameters to your drive system using the engineering tool. Since this
only changes load-dependent data, the other parameter groups must not be calculated again.
Parameter Name / value range / [default seng] Info
0x2910:001
(P335.01)
Motor moment of inera
(Motor inera)
0.00 ... [3.70]* ... 20000000.00 kg cm²
* Default seng depending on the size.
Seng of the moment of inera of the motor.

(P335.02)
Load moment of inera
(Load inera)
0.00 ... [3.70]* ... 20000000.00 kg cm²
* Default seng depending on the size.
Seng of the moment of inera of the load.
•
Always adjust the seng to the current load, otherwise the opmisa-
on process cannot be executed successfully.
