5.3.3 Basic motor sengs
Check the following default sengs for the motor and motor control and adapt them, if
required.
Drive behaviour by default
By default, the V/f characterisc control with a linear characterisc is preset as motor control
for asynchronous motors. The V/f characterisc control is a motor control for convenonal
frequency inverter applicaons. It is based on a simple and robust control mode for the opera-
on of asynchronous motors with a linear or square-law load torque characterisc (e.g. fan).
Because of the minimal parameterisaon eort, such applicaons can be commissioned easily
and quickly.
The default sengs of the parameters ensure that the inverter is ready for operaon imme-
diately and the motor works adequately without further parameterisaon if an inverter and
an asynchronous motor* Hz asynchronous machine with matching performances are
assigned to each other.
* Depending on the device/mains frequency either 50-Hz asynchronous motor or 60-Hz asyn-
chronous motor.

Base voltage and base frequency dene the V/f rao and thus the gradi-
ent of the V/f characterisc.
The V/f base voltage is usually set to the rated motor voltage

This control type is used for the sensorless control of a synchronous
motor.

4 Sensorless vector control (SLVC) This control type is used for sensorless vector control of an asynchro-
nous motor.

6 V/f characterisc control (VFC open loop) This control mode is used for the speed control of an asynchronous
motor via a V/f characterisc and is the simplest control mode.

0x2C01:010 Motor parameters: Motor name The name (e.g. " 1") can be freely selected by the user.
If the motor in the engineering tool has been selected from the "motor
catalog", the respecve motor name is automacally entered here
(example: "MDSKA080-22, 70").

Seng can only be changed if the inverter is inhibi-

The rated motor current to be set here serves as a reference value for
dierent parameters with a seng/display of a current value in percent.

Motor rated current = 1.7 A
Max current 0x6073 (P324.00) = 200 % Motor rated current = 3.4 A
