6.3 Error handling
Many funcons integrated in the inverter can
•
detect errors and thus protect inverter and motor from damages,
•
detect an operang error of the user,
•
output a warning or informaon if desired.
6.3.1 Error types
In the event of an error, the inverter response is determined by the error type dened for the
error.
In the following, the dierent error types are described.
Error type "No response"
The error is completely ignored (does not aect the running process).
Error type "Warning"
A warning does not severely aect the process and may be also ignored in consideraon of
safety aspects.
Error type "Fault"
The motor is brought to a standsll with the quick stop ramp.
•
The inverter will only be disabled aer the quick stop is executed (motor at standsll) or
aer the me-out me set in 0x2826 has been elapsed. 4Timeout für fault reacon ^ 311
•
Excepon: In case of a serious fault, the inverter is disabled immediately. The motor
becomes torqueless (coasts). For details see the table "Error codes". ^ 438
Error type "Trouble"
Just like "Fault", but the error state will be le automacally if the error condion is not acve
anymore.
•
Excepon: In case of a severe trouble, the inverter is disabled immediately. The motor
becomes torqueless (coasts). For details see the table "Error codes". ^ 438
•
The restart behaviour aer trouble can be congured. 4Automac restart ^ 312
In the operang mode 0x6060 (P301.00) = "CiA: Velocity mode [2]", the behav-
iour in case of "Trouble" is just like in case of "Fault"!
Comparison of the error types
