5.4 Dismantling / installing
5.4.1 Disconnect supply connections
The machine check should always be carried out before
starting any maintenance work. The machine still needs to
be connected to power and water for this check. However as
a general rule, the machine should be disconnected from the
mains (water and power) for any further work.
DANGER TO LIFE / MATERIAL DAMAGE
During maintenance work accidents caus-
ing severe injury or material damage may
occur as a result of the following:
touching live appliances and components
unintentional operation of the machine
touching hot appliances or components (scalding)
unintentional opening of pressurised containers or
pipes
reaching into rotating grinder blades or getting
pinched between moving machine parts.
Protect yourself against these hazards by doing the
following:
disconnect the mains supply disconnection unit
and secure it against being switched back on.
machines with payment system: disconnect the
telecommunications connections or from IT net-
work connections
secure or disconnect the water connection
depressurise any pressurised systems
allow the machine to cool
Only start maintenance work once all the safety precautions
have been taken.
