5.4.8 Brewing unit piston motor

Preparation
 Dismantle the bean container
 Dismantle the cup plate
 Dismantle the back casing
Dismantling
1. Disconnect the cable from the flat plug connectors on
the piston motor
2. Unscrew the two lateral fastening screws on the motor
holder
3. Unscrew the rear fastening screw on the motor holder
4. Lift up the piston motor with the motor holder from the
brewing unit, and remove it
Replace the piston motor
1. Take out the circlip; loosen the headless set screw in the
carrier unit by about 3 turns.
2. Pull off the carrier unit from the drive shaft
3. Screw out the screw on the gear fastening (secured with
Loctite!)
4. Remove the piston motor / gear and exchange
