Operating condition
When a “coffee” product button is pressed on the button panel, the grinder motor operates (note warming up time!)
Symptoms
Grinder motor is not functioning. (No fault is displayed on the display).

Check Possible cause Remedy

Take voltage measurement at
plug X34 3 on power PCB:
36 V DC ?
 Check the voltage supply (see
“Power PCB, control voltage”)
 36V S voltage supply faulty

Take voltage measurement on
“left-hand” grinder motor:
Input, GND = 36 V DC ?
Output, GND = 36 V DC ?
 Plug contacts on power PCB
faulty / oxidised
 Cable broken or pulled out of plug
 Flat plug not correctly connected
 Check / replace plug contacts
 Replace cable
 Re-connect the flat plug on the
plug-in contact stud

Carry out initial test:
Voltage measurement X34 4,
GND
0 V DC ?
 Power transistor does not switch  Replace the power PCB
Resistance measurement at grinder motor:
 Switch off voltage
 Pull out cable from plug-in contact studs

Carry out resistance measure-
ment at grinder motor:
Nominal resistance:
< 10 Ω ?
 Plug-in contact studs oxidised
 Grinder motor faulty
 Replace grinder motor
Re-connect the flat plug to the
grinder motor.
Function check: Grinder now
