Operating condition
With correct voltage supply, the water is heated in the “tea” instant heater (note warm-up time!)
Symptoms
The water in the “tea” instant heater is not heated; “Timeout H.tea” message is displayed.
Procedure
Steps 1-4 Relay 7 and the load relay are triggered for approximately 4 seconds in the initial test. The measurement
must be made during this time.

Take voltage measurement at the
connection terminals to the ma-
chine:
L1, N = mains voltage ?
L2, N = mains voltage ?
 Check the mains connection (see
“mains connection”)
 Fault in mains connection

Measure voltage at power PCB
input at control fuse F1:
Input (top), N
Mains voltage ?
Output (bottom), N
Mains voltage ?
 Cable broken or pulled out of
terminal / plug
 Plug contacts on power PCB
(input) faulty / oxidised
 F1 fuse faulty
 Replace cable or reinsert it into
the terminal
 Check / replace the plug contacts/
cable
 Replace fuse F1

Check control voltage:
X47, N1 – relay 7, L2
Mains voltage ?
X47, N1 – relay 7, tea 1
Mains voltage ?
X47, N1 – power relay, 1
Mains voltage ?
 Power PCB defective
 Relay 7 faulty
 Faulty or oxidised cabling / plug
 Replace the power PCB
 Replace the power PCB
 Check / replace cabling

Take voltage measurement at
power relay (power circuit):
Input (2), N
Mains voltage ?
Output (4), N
Mains voltage ?
 Cable broken or pulled out of
terminal / plug
 Faulty power relay
 Replace cable or reinsert it into
the terminal
 Check / replace the plug contacts/
cable
 Re-connect the flat plug on the
plug-in contact stud
 Replace power relay

Take voltage measurement at
Klixon input: Mains voltage ?
 Cable broken or pulled out of plug
 Flat plug not correctly connected
 Check / replace the plug contacts/
cable
 Re-connect the flat plug on the
plug-in contact stud

Take voltage measurement at
Klixon output: Mains voltage ?
 Electrical circuit interrupted by
safety thermostat; check machine
for any faults.
 Correct the fault; then reset
(press the red knob).
Resistance measurement at heating cable lugs
 Switch off voltage
 Pull out cable from plug-in contact studs

Measure resistance at heating;
nominal resistance: 17 Ω ?
 Faulty heater  Replace the instant heater (see
section 5)
Restart the machine
If the “timeout H. tea” message
continues to display:
 Faulty unit control system  Replace unit control system
