3.4 System documentation
3.4.1 General
The next few pages contain descriptions of all the main sys-
tems as process chains. The descriptions provide information
as to the question of: “which processes are carried out in an
Ambiente-2 when a product button (e.g. ‘white coffee’) is pres-
sed”.? The processes are sub-divided into the technical sys-
tems.
Control system (electrical system/electronics including
software).
Hydraulic system (preparation of water, dosing and
product outlet), and
the mechanical components, where mechanical
components exist (movements, drives etc.)
The system descriptions have been deliberately kept simple.
When locating and rectifying faults, and setting up the ma-
chine it is essential that service personnel have comprehen-
sive knowledge of the complex electrical, electronic, physical
and chemical processes.
