• It is imperative that the following situations are
avoided at all times: Premature interruption of the
cutting operation (planing cuts which do not com-
plete the entire length of the workpiece; planing of
uneven pieces of wood which do not lie at on the
infeed table).
• Important! If the primary mains connection is in a
poor condition there is a risk of short-circuits when
the machine is switched on. This may also affect
other functions (e.g. the lighting up of indicator
lamps). Should there be any faults in the primary
mains connection, please contact your local elec-
tricity supplier to advice and information.
Residual risks
Even when the machine is used as prescribed it is
still impossible to eliminate certain residual risk fac-
tors. There is a risk of the following injuries in con-
nection with the required operation of the machine:

A longer stay in the immediate vicinity of the running
unit may cause hearing damage.

Despite the observance of the operating instructions
there still may be some hidden residual risks.
Warning! This electric tool generates an electro-
magnetic eld during operation. This eld can impair
active or passive medical implants under certain
conditions. In order to prevent the risk of serious or
deadly injuries, we recommend that persons with
medical implants consult with their physician and the
manufacturer of the medical implant prior to operat-
ing the electric tool.
Emergency procedure
Conduct a rst-aid procedure adequate to the
injury and summon qualied medical attendance as
quickly as possible. Protect the injured person from
further harm and calm them down.
For the sake of eventual accident, in accordance
with DIN 13164, a workplace has to be tted with a
rst-aid kit. It is essential to replace any used mate-
rial in the rst-aid kit immediately after it has been
used. If you seek help, state the following pieces of
