11-2 ADJUSTING OR CHANGING THE X AXIS VOLUME
The X (left and right) axis volume is on the bottom of the Control Unit.
If the X axis volume does not seem to be working properly and the TEST Mode calibration screen has no effect, the
cause is likely to be a problem with or damage to the gears of the X axis volume.
When replacing the volume, you will need a replacement volume and three heat shrink tubes (product number:
310-5029-D20). You will also need the following tools and some solder.
- Phillips head screwdriver (for M4, M6)
- Wrench or screwdriver for tamperproof screws (for M4)
- A 7 millimeter spanner, hexagonal screwdriver, or socket wrench
- A 2 millimeter hexagonal bar wrench or screwdriver
- An 11-12 millimeter spanner
- Nippers
- Cutters
- Wire stripper
- Soldering iron
- Industrial dryer

Turn off the power and remove the Control Unit (see 11-1).

Invert the Control Unit and place it upside down. Make sure you do not damage the surface of the Control
Unit.

Loosen the two screws xing the volume brack-
et lower and separate the gear engagement.
