Oil Pump / Oil Pressure Regulator Removal and
Installation

Removal
1) Separate the crankcases, upper and lower. Refer to
“Engine Bottom Side Disassembly: in Section 1D”.
2) Remove the oil pump (1).
3) Remove the O-rings and dowel pins.
4) Remove the oil pressure regulator (2) from the oil
pump.
Installation
Instal the oil pump and oil pressure regulator in the
reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
CAUTION
!
Replace the O-rings with new ones to prevent
oil leakage.
• Install the O-rings ((1) and (2)) and dowel pins (3) in
the correct position as shown.
• Apply a small quantity of THREAD LOCK “1342” to
the bolts.
: Thread lock cement 99000–32050 (Thread
Lock Cement 1342 or equivalent)
• Install the oil pump (4) into the lower crankcase and
tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Oil pump mounting bolt (a): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m,
7.0 lb-ft)
Oil Nozzle Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Remove the cylinder head cover. Refer to “Engine
Top Side Disassembly: in Section 1D”.
2) Remove the oil nozzles (1).
