16) Fix the clutch pressure plate lifter with the snap ring.
Special tool
: 09900–06108 (Snap ring pliers)
NOTE
When fitting the circlip, make sure that the
sharp edge of the snap ring faces outside.
17) Apply a light coat of the SUZUKI BOND “1207B” to
the clutch cover gasket mating surface as shown.
: Sealant 99000–31140 (SUZUKI Bond
1207B or equivalent)
18) Install the dowel pins, a new gasket and the clutch
cover.
CAUTION
!
Use only new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
19) Install the two gasket washers onto the clutch cover
bolts (19) as shown.
CAUTION
!
Use only new gasket washers to prevent oil
leakage.
20) Tighten the clutch cover bolts securely.
21) Pour Engine oil. Refer to “Engine Oil and Filter
Replacement: in Section 0B”.

Clutch Diaphragm Spring
Measure the free height “a” of each diaphragm spring
with a vernier calipers. If each diaphragm spring height
is not within the specified limit, replace it with a new one.

(A): 09900–20102 (Vernire calipers)
