Brake Control System and Diagnosis: 4A-15
Installation
Install the brake lever in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
• Apply grease to the brake lever, pivot bolt and contact
point between piston and brake lever.
: Grease 99000–25100 (SUZUKI SILICONE
GREASE or equivalent)
• Tighten the brake lever pivot bolt (1) and lock-nut (2)
to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Brake lever pivot bolt (a): 6 N·m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.5
lbf-ft)
Brake lever pivot bolt lock-nut (b): 6 N·m (0.6 kgf-
m, 4.5 lbf-ft)

1. Rear brake pedal : 29 N⋅m (2.9 kgf-m, 21.0 lbf-ft)
2. Dust seal : Apply grease.
3. Clip : Do not reuse.
