hydraulicuidtoabiodegradableuid.Operatemachineunder
normaloperatingconditionsforatleastfour(4)hoursbefore
draining.

Ifacomponentfailureoccurredintheclosedlooptractioncircuit
(e.g.pistonpumporwheelmotor),lteringthetractioncircuitis
recommended.SeeFilteringClosed−LoopTractionCircuit(page
5–93).
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface.Lowercuttingdeckstotheground,stop
engineandapplyparkingbrake.Removekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
WARNING
Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkonthehydraulic
system,allpressureinthesystemmustberelieved.SeeRelieving
HydraulicSystemPressure(page5–4).
IMPORTANT
Makesuretocleanaroundanyhydraulicconnectionsthatwillbe
disconnectedfordraining.
2.Drainhydraulicreservoir.Removesuctionscreenfromreservoirandclean
thoroughly.Considerremovingandcleaningreservoirifnecessary.
3.Drainhydraulicsystem.Drainallhoses,tubesandcomponentswhilethe
systemiswarm.
4.Removeandreplacebothhydraulicoillters.
IMPORTANT
Followalllocalcodesandregulationswhenrecyclingordisposing
hydraulicuidandlters.
5.Inspectandcleanhydraulicreservoir(seeHydraulicReservoir(page5–176)).
