TheAuto/Lowmodeandcuttingdeckliftswitchesareallidentical.These
switchesarelocatedontheconsolearm(Figure192).
TheAuto/LowmodeswitchisusedasaninputfortheTECcontrollertoselect
eithertheAutomodeorLowmodetractionspeed.
ThecuttingdeckliftswitchesareusedasinputsfortheTECcontrollertoraise
orlowerthecuttingdecks.Whenthefrontofaliftswitchisdepressed,the
controlleddeckswilllower.Whentherearofaliftswitchisdepressedandheld,
thecontrolleddeckswillraise.
Note:Toraiseorlowerthedecks,theoperatorseathastobeoccupied.Also,to
lowerthecuttingdecks,thetractionspeedhastobeinLowmode.
Testing
Note:Beforedisconnectingaswitchfortesting,theswitchanditscircuitwiring
shouldbetestedasaTECelectricalinputusingtheInfoCenterDisplay(see
InfoCenterDisplay(page6–8)).Ifinputtestingveriesthattheswitchand
circuitwiringarefunctioningcorrectly,nofurtherswitchtestingisnecessary.
If,however,inputtestingdeterminesthattheswitchandcircuitwiringarenot
functioningcorrectly,proceedwiththefollowingswitchtestingprocedure.
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowercuttingdecks,engageparkingbrake
andstopengine.Removekeyfromignitionswitch.
2.Removeconsolearmcoverstogainaccesstoswitchthatistobetested(see
ConsoleArm(page8–10)).
3.Disconnectwireharnesselectricalconnectorfromtheswitchthatistobe
tested.
