1.Makesurethecontrolmanifoldiscleanbeforeremovingthecartridgevalve
fromthecontrolmanifold.
2.Ifcartridgevalveissolenoidoperated,removenutsecuringsolenoidcoilto
thecartridgevalve.Carefullyslidecoiloffthevalve.
IMPORTANT
Usecarewhenhandlingthecartridgevalve.Slightbendingor
distortionofthestemtubecancausebindingandmalfunction.
Whenremovingcartridgevalvefrommanifold,makesurethatdeep
wellsocketfullyengagesthevalvebase.
3.Removecartridgevalvefrommanifoldusingadeepsocketwrench.Note
correctlocationforO−rings,sealingringsandbackuprings.Removesealkit
fromcartridgevalveanddiscardremovedseals.
4.Visuallyinspecttheportinthemanifoldfordamagetothesealingsurfaces,
damagedthreadsandcontamination.
5.Visuallyinspectcartridgevalvefordamagedsealingsurfacesand
contamination.
A.Contaminationmaycausevalvestostickorhangup.Contaminationcan
becomelodgedinsmallvalveoricesorsealareascausingmalfunction.
B.Ifvalvesealingsurfacesappearpittedordamaged,thehydraulicsystem
maybeoverheatingortheremaybewaterinthesystem.
CAUTION
Usegogglesorotherappropriateeyeprotectionwhenusing
compressedairfordryingparts.
6.Cleancartridgevalveusingcleanmineralspirits.Submergevalveinclean
mineralspiritstoushoutcontamination.Particlesasneastalcumpowder
canaffecttheoperationofhighpressurehydraulicvalves.Ifcartridgedesign
allows,useawoodorplasticprobetopushtheinternalspoolinandout20
to30timestoushoutcontamination.Beextremelycarefulnottodamage
cartridge.Usecompressedairforcleaning.
7.Installthecartridgevalveintothemanifold:
A.Lubricatenewsealkitcomponentswithcleanhydraulicoilandinstallon
valve.TheO−rings,sealingringsandbackupringsmustbearranged
properlyonthecartridgevalveforproperoperationandsealing.
B.Dipassembledcartridgeintocleanhydraulicoil.
IMPORTANT
Usecarewhenhandlingthevalvecartridge.Slightbendingor
distortionofthestemtubecancausebindingandmalfunction.
Wheninstallingcartridgevalveintomanifold,makesurethat
deepwellsocketfullyengagesthevalvebase.
C.Threadcartridgevalvecarefullyintomanifoldportbyhanduntilthetop
O−ringismet.Thevalveshouldgointomanifoldporteasilywithout
binding.
