The basic MPL XML file has the following format:

these tags are optional while most of them are required.

must look exactly as it appears.

Yes This line must appear at the top of the XML file and
must look exactly as it appears.
<RefreshMPL>
No This element sets the default refresh rate for HP UPD
quering for changes to the MPL. Default is 24 hours.
<Printers id="1" name="
Building 3 Upper">>
Yes This element contains the printer(s) tags that make up
the printers contained in the MPL. There can be
multiple <Printers>... </Printers> tags within the XML
document.
<Printer id="1”>
Yes The element that defines the specifics of one printer
that will exist in the MPL. The <Printers>... </
Printers> tags must be defined inside of the
Printers element. There are no limits to how many
<Printers>... </Printers> tags you can define
in the MPL.
