Defining custom MPLs from the Manager Print Policy (MPP)
You can define the custom MPLs directly in your MPP. This is done by creating the <CustomMPL>
entries in the MPP XML file, and setting the <Name> and the <Path> elements. An example of two
custom MPL are defined in a MPP XML file:

NOTE: It is recommended that you use the HP Managed Printing Administration tool to manage the
custom MPLs that are available to the HP UPD users rather than specifying them at install time.
Through this tool you can change the number and location of each custom MPL and it will be
available to the HP UPD users the very next time a HP UPD query is made. Unlike the install
command line option to specify the custom MPL, when custom MPLs are specified through this tool,
the HP UPD behavior and the MPLs made available to the HP UPD can change without having to
touch each client computer.
