Chapter 8 Maintenance and Troubleshooting

8.1.3 Replacement of Vulnerable Components
The vulnerable components of the AC drive are cooling fan and lter electrolytic capacitor. Their service life is
related to the operating environment and maintenance status. Generally, the service life is shown as follows:
Component Service Life Possible Cause Judging Criteria
Fan 2 to 3 years Bearing worn
Blade aging
Whether there is crack on the blade
Whether there is abnormal vibration noise upon
startup
Electrolytic
capacitor
4 to 5 years Input power supply in poor quality
High ambient temperature
Frequent load jumping
Electrolytic aging
Whether there is liquid leakage.
Whether the safe valve has projected.
Measure the static capacitance.
Measure the insulating resistance.
The standard service time indicates the service time when the AC drive is used on the following conditions:
•
Ambient temperature: about 30°C on average yearly
•
Load rate: below 80%
•
Operating rate: below 20 hours per day
8.1.4 Storage of the AC Drive
For storage of the AC drive, pay attention to the following two aspects:
•
Pack the AC drive with the original packing box provided by Inovance.
•
Long-term storage degrades the electrolytic capacitor. Thus, the AC drive must be energized once every two
years, each time lasting at least 5 hours. The input voltage must be increased slowly to the rated value with
the regulator.
8.2 Warranty Agreement
•
Free warranty only applies to the AC drive itself.
•
Inovance will provide 18-month warranty from date of manuacturing for the failure or damage under normal
use conditions. If the equipment has been used for over 18 months, reasonable repair expenses will be
charged.
•
Reasonable repair expenses will be charged for the damage due to the following causes:
-
Improper operation without following the instructions
-
Fire, ood or abnormal voltage
-
Using the AC drive for non-recommended function
-
The maintenance fee is charge according to Inovance's uniform standard. If there is an agreement, the
agreement prevails.
