Lock stay
1) Insert a slotted screwdriver into
the dent on the lock stay and
lightly pry it to slightly float up
the lock stay.
Note) If the slotted screwdriver
is pried strongly, the lock stay is
broken and fragments may fly
out.
2) In the same manner as
described in step 1), insert the
slotted screwdriver into the dent
on the opposite side (lock stay
length direction) and lightly pry
it to slightly float up the lock
stay.
3) Detach the lock stay by
hand.
Note) Use a slotted screwdriver with a tip blade width of 4 mm or less.
1-7-8. Separating the Link
Follow the steps below to separate the link and detach it.
1) Detach the arms and lock stays for five links or
more on both sides of the portion to be
separated and insert a slotted screwdriver into
the hole in the bottom of the link (inner
circumference side
.
2) Pry the slotted screwdriver in the direction indicated by an
arrow to detach the link.
Note) Use a slotted screwdriver with a tip blade width of 4 mm or less.
